On La Castellada hill, in Oslavia, in the province of Gorizia, less than five kilometers from the border with Slovenia, stands the homonymous winery La Castellada whose history has its roots at the end of the Second World War. It all began in the 50s when Giuseppe Bensa bought some vineyards and an adjoining building with the intention of transforming it into a rustic tavern in which to sell the bulk wines produced there. The wines produced by Marco Buvoli, in Gambugliano, about 10 kilometers northwest of Vicenza, in the Castellari Mountains, between the Lessini and the Berici, have been for about fifteen years one of the most prestigious expressions of Italian sparkling Pinot Noir. Marco, on the other hand, is the son of Nevio Buvoli, one of the first Italian sommelier, who trained him to recognize the difference between a mediocre wine, a simply good one and an excellent one. Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaux Monts 2010, Emmanuel Rouget
Even in a strip of land so suited to the highest level wine production, such as the Côte-d’Or in Burgundy, there are few wineries that can boast the privilege of being closely linked to the timeless myths, as in the case of Rouget, whose homonymous owner, Emmanuel Rouoget, lived the vineyard side by side, from the age of 18, with his uncle Henri Jayer. Ludwig Barth von Bartheneau Vigna Roccolo 2015, Hofstatter
In order to fully explain the importance of the Hofstätter winery in South Tyrol, we must first of all remember its connection with Tramin and its centuries-old wine history. Wine began to be mentioned in Termeno as early as 1100, and in a document of 1214 we read the authorization granted by the bishop of Trento to the production of wine in his area.
